Male J-Bolts enable you to hang your chain link gate from an alternative post like wood, steel, or aluminum. For example, if you have an 8x8 wood beam, you could hang your gate with 2 or more 10" J-Bolts. The bolts are adjustable by positioning the nuts where you need them. They work with any standard female strap hinge with a 5/8" opening.

Installation
Drill completely through the post or structure that you are installing the J-Bolt on. Insert the J-Bolt Hinge through the post with a nut on either side. Tighten and loosen the nuts until you have the hinge in the position that you want. Repeat with the other J-Bolts.
