This 9 gauge wire is perfect for use on residential chain link fencing. It is much easier to stretch and work with than 7 gauge tension wire, yet it's strong enough to last for years without trouble.

Installation
Tension wire is typically installed using brace bands. Install and tighten your brace band on one end of the fence and then weave your tension wire around the carriage bolt in the brace band and twist it on itself 3-4 times. Roll out your tension wire to the other terminal post. Repeat the process of running your tension wire through the brace band, around the carriage bolt, and twisting it on itself 3-4 times. Use fence ties to tie the tension wire to the line posts. Use hog rings to attach the chain link fabric to the tension wire.
