Aluminum Loop Caps are designed to allow horizontal top rail or tension wire to run along the top of the fence. The rail / wire runs through the hole on the loop cap in one continuous line to a terminal post. If using barb wire, then you should not use a loop cap; use a line post barb arm instead, which also has a loop in it for top rail. Aluminum loop caps are typically used on residential chain link fences, while steel caps are used on commercial / industrial projects.

Installation
Place your aluminum loop cap on the top of your chain link line posts with the sides facing perpendicular to the fence line. The fit will be tight, but push them down on the cap until it is fully on the post.
