Heavy Aluminum Chain Link Rail Ends are designed to attach your chain link brace railing to your terminal posts. They are also sometimes used on line posts instead of a line rail clamp. These rail ends are heavier gauge aluminum than many of the big hardware store rail ends. They install easily with an appropriately sized brace band and carriage bolt (sold separately). Typically, aluminum rail ends are used for residential fencing applications due to their light weight and lower strength than pressed steel rail ends. If you are using a brace and truss design on your terminal ends, then you will want combo rail ends, not these standard rail ends.

Installation

Attach your rail end cap to your terminal post with an appropriately sized brace band and a 5/16" x 1-1/4" carriage bolt. Sandwich the rail end bolt hole between the bolt holes of the brace band, and insert your carriage bolt through all 3 holes. Tighten the nut until the rail end is secure. Install 1 rail end for every brace rail connection; so, if you have top rail, mid-rail, and bottom rail on your fence, you will need 3 rail ends, 3 brace bands, and 3 carriage bolts (double if it's a corner post).
