Drop Rods
Drop Rods, or cane bolts, are used on double gates to secure one, or both sides of the gate in either the open or closed position. The drop rod slides through the guides, down into a hole in the ground so that the gate can't swing freely. To enable the gate to swing, you lift the drop rod up out of the hole and turn it to lock it in place above the ground. We sell many different styles of drop rods, including heavy duty steel pipe drop rods for chain link gates; powder coated drop rods for wood, ornamental, & vinyl gates, & lockable drop rods that provide additional security.
