Key-Link Lancaster Level Aluminum Railing Sections offer a premium, heavy-duty look and feel that features a substantial 2.8" wide top rail and 1" balusters. Compare that to many outdoor railing sections that have a 1-1/2" or 1-3/4" top rails and 1/2" balusters and you'll quickly see why the Lancaster is described as "stately" and "top of the line". Like all Key-Link Railing styles, each section is made from high-quality extruded aluminum that is strong, durable, and low maintenance, requiring little more than occasional cleaning. Top and bottom rails have a premium .090 wall thickness, whereas most aluminum railing systems vary between .060 and .075 wall thickness.
The Lancaster also offers a choice of 5 baluster options, 3 standard color options, and 10 special order colors, giving you a wide range of options to customize your railing., Choose between 36" and 42" tall sections based on your building code requirements; Lancaster railing sections are engineered to meet both Residential (IRC) and Commercial (IBC) building codes in terms of strength, but railing height requirements vary according to property type.
These sections are available in 6' or 8' widths, but they can easily be cut down on site to whatever size you need. We recommend taking an equal portion off of both sides of the section, instead of just cutting one end. which will keep everything proportional. You won't even need to worry if you make a minor slip up when cutting the sections, because the included brackets hide the ends, leaving you with a finished look regardless.
Lancaster level sections are sold as boxed kits that contain everything that you need to build the railing section and attach it to the post. They are quick to assemble with common household tools, and the self aligning brackets make it easy to line them up and connect them to your posts (sold separately). There are also a variety of optional brackets available for special situation like non-standard angles and mounting to round columns.
