Magna-Latch Safety Vertical Pull Gate Latches use super-strong 'Permanent Magnets' to eliminate the possibility of mechanical jamming while closing. MagnaLatches are some of the most reliable latches on the market because they use magnetic force to latch and lock, ensuring that they latch correctly every time.

The Vertical Pull Model, also known as the Pet Latch, uses "Lost Motion Technology to stop the latch from disengaging when shaking or moving the gate.  It uses the same technology as the MagnaLatch Top Pull Model in a more compact design.

The Vertical Pull MagnaLatch is not designed for Pool Safety Gates or Child Resistance. Use the Top Pull Model for those applications instead.
