Our Pressed Steel Gate Center Stop is designed to be driven into the ground. It is used to secure the drop rods on a double swing gate. This type of center stop works best with soft surfaces like grass and dirt and should not be used if the fence will be installed on concrete or asphalt or other hard surfaces (Use a Mushroom Style Center Stop instead). Installation is as easy as driving the centerstop into the ground. 

Installation

Drive into the ground so that the drop rod holder is parallel to your closed gate. Drop your rods into the center stop when the gate is closed to secure it in place.  If you want to open the gate, lift up on your drop rods to clear the centerstop, and swing open.
